A Look Back
2008 was a good year. I had the best fitness year of my life. I had really just started getting into supplements, I just started taking my diet and the gym seriously, and I confess, I had a secret weapon called P6 Black™.
It was 5 years and hundreds of workouts ago, so although my memory is a little hazy, there are a few things I recall in vivid detail. I had been on P6 Black™ for about a month. I remember strength through the roof and veins through my arms, hitting the gym incline and pressing about 90 lbs. more than I ever had before, and for easy reps. Then, setting the bar down and without any rest, I’d grab the heaviest dumbbells in the gym and shoulder press those bad boys for another easy set. My muscles fuller and my confidence at an all time high. I remember that all I wanted to do was lift.
God, that stuff was good. And then it was gone. The rules changed, the focus of the industry changed, companies changed—and seriously, for the better. Innovation became mandatory and Cellucor stayed good at it. But even so, even with hit product after hit product, I admit I missed my P6 Black™.
What is D-Aspartic Acid (DAA)? D-Aspartic acid is a non-essential amino acid that, when supplemented with in appropriate dosages, has been demonstrated to boost testosterone levels, increase strength and support metabolic function.* DAA works by stimulating the activity of NMDA receptors, which in turn leads to the production of a cascade of hormones that ultimately signal the body to initiate the process of steroidogenesis—the natural process of producing more testosterone.*
P6 Black™ features D-Aspartic Acid Magnesium Chelate, a novel form of D-Aspartic Acid, an ingredient that’s been trending hot and picking up steam in the testosterone market.
This new, innovative, chelated form of DAA features a fusion of D-Aspartic Acid with Magnesium. Much like Creatine Magnesium Chelate (found in Cellucor M5 Reloaded™), when magnesium is chelated with an amino acid (D-Aspartic Acid) complex, it doesn't readily react with the stomach acids and instead gets a "free-pass" to the rest of the body for enhanced absorption.*
